This is the perfect opportunity for Webelos Scouts to begin their transition in to Scouts BSA. This half week program will challenge scouts, while providing room for fun, advancement, and new activities. This is not your regular Cub Camping experience... Come ready to go wild and try out
climbing, paintball, the bike track, water sports, and more!
We strongly encourage participation in this program, as the perfect opportunity for your scout(s) to see what the scouting program is all about, and to provide the perfect opportunity for transitioning from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA.

For 2019 we are going to continue localized Day Camp in County. For July 8th-12th @ Christopher Morley Park, For July 15th-19th @ Bethpage State Park, and a 3rd In County Park drop off & pick up will be at the park by a parent or family member. The 2 Weeks that our Day Camp will be based out at Schiff Scout Reservation we will be using busing to & from camp.

SILVER BEAVER NOMINATIONS
RECOGNIZE OUR LEADERS
|
The Silver Beaver Award recognizes adult Scout volunteers who have made an impact on the lives of youth in the Theodore Roosevelt Council through service given to the council. The award was introduced by the Boy Scouts of America in 1931 and is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America.
Nomination Period ends on May 1st 2019
The award is made to those who do not actively seek it; please keep your nominations confidential. A committee of council and district volunteers will begin review of nominations in early April. Any registered adult Scouter (21 or older) who has a record of quality service to Scouting, his or her community, and non-Scouting youth, is eligible for nomination.
Questions about the nomination form or process should be submitted to Peter Shields at
[email protected]; all questions should be submitted by April 26
th.

CAMP MASTER PROGRAM

We need you!!! Theodore Roosevelt Council is looking for individuals or teams that would like to serve as a friend at camp on the weekends.
Campmasters are needed on the weekends, to work with units, checking a unit in on Friday night, assisting units during the day on Saturday, to provide a final walk around with the unit on Sunday. This is a great way for you, your family, or your friends to spend an extra weekend at camp!
At Schiff Scout Reservation, Campmasters stay in a cabin that sleeps 4 with hot showers, full kitchen, and a great outdoor setting with 400 acres as your backyard.
At Onteora Campmasters stay in a house, heated, with a full kitchen that sleeps 4 with a great outdoor setting of 1400 acres.
We need your help to be a friendly face, a resource for questions and answers, and hopefully a chance to deliver some special program offerings based on your skills. As a Campmaster you assist in making the program better for our scouts. Experience is not necessary; we will train you on what to do, what is expected, and we will support you throughout your weekend at camp.
