The book sale is a bi-annual fundraiser by the Friends of the Springfield Township Library.  All proceeds directly benefit the library.  The Friends nonprofit organization generously sponsors events, equipment purchases and much needed materials.  If you're interested in getting involved, there are a number of ways you can do that.  

1. Donate a Homemade Baked Good.
2. Donate your time by volunteering to help with a future sale.
3. Donate gently used books (please no text books, ripped up, stained or stinky materials).
4. Support the Friends by becoming a member!

The next Friends meeting is on May 14 at 1:00.  The meeting is open to all.
First in Flight: Wright Brothers and the First Airplane
Thursday, May 23, 2019 / 6:30PM

Orville and Wilbur Wright built the first airplane in their Dayton bicycle shop.  The airplane flew only four times on December 17, 1903 and it never flew again, but what happened to the plane over the next 45 years is actually the most intriguing part of the story!  Come hear, historian, Joseph Oldenburg, give an interesting talk about the Wright Brothers.

No registration necessary.  Open to all.  No cost.

Tea Party and Stories

Ages 12 and Under

You're invited to a "literary tea party"!  Kids, bring your Mom (or other special person) along with your best manners and fancy tea party outfit, to sample treats and beverages found in a variety of children's stories.

Pizza and Board Game Night
Monday, May 20 / 6:00 - 7:30

Ages 9 and up.
Sign up today!   Bring all your friends to this fun night of good old-fashioned board games!

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that provides funding for library materials, programs, events and equipment.  Meetings are open to anyone interested and take place at 1:00 at the library.
