St. Martin's
Feeds the Nurses and says Thank You!

Last Saturday night a car loaded to the brim with hot food and literally hundreds of items of baked good made their way to Morristown Memorial Hospital to feed the medical staff on the Khan 1 floor.

Within minutes the wife of one of the patients who had been on a ventilator for more than 40 days wrote to thank St. Martin's for what it has done. These are the people who saved her husband's life.

While the hot seafood paella was amazing what really touched hearts was how many of you personally jumped in to make dessert for these courageous people. The circle of thanks just ripples out from you.

So thank you, St. Martin's! The Church is the people, and you truly are the Body of Christ in and for the world! Great stuff - keep it up! And may God bless you richly for your rich blessing of others in God's name!

If you've ever been angry ...
you have something in common with Jesus

Thursday Night Forum

Join Fr. Tim as he leads us in a consideration of the nine times the Bible tells us Jesus got angry. What might we learn about the anger we sometimes experience when we consider Jesus' anger? When is anger a good thing, not a good thing, or a warning sign?

No homework, but have a Bible with you.

Thursdays, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Keeper of the Light

There is a light at St. Martin's that never goes out. We call it the "Sanctuary Light" because it hangs in the sanctuary of the chancel (front of the church) lighting the Reserved Sacrament. It reminds us of the presence of Christ who is with us always. But during this time when we are not able to be in our building, members of the parish have been taking turns caring for the light for a period of one week at a time in their own home and then passing it on to another member for the next week, until we can all be together again in the church building.

Last week's Keeper of the Light was Diane Miller, who said, It was so meaningful to me to host the Sacristy Candle this past week. The presence of candle and the
physicality of seeing the candle in our home each day was a beautiful reminder that God is with us and part of our lives 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week."

This week's keeper of the light is Marilyn O'Regan. Thank you, Marilyn!
