The Alliance for Diversity & Excellence Announces 18 Fellows Selected for Its 2020-2021 Senior Leadership Institute Cohort
NEW ORLEANS - The Alliance for Diversity & Excellence (ADE), an organization dedicated to developing and training diverse educators to become highly effective leaders who achieve results for students and the community, announced today the selection of 18 fellows for its 2020-2021 Senior Leadership Institute (SLI) cohort. The SLI is an 8-month leadership development program for educators that includes mentorship, professional development workshops, and ongoing support to become senior leaders within charter management organizations, traditional school districts, and comparable educational leadership settings.

“Investing in this remarkable group of fellows demonstrates ADE’s long-term commitment to the growth and advancement of leaders of color in New Orleans and the surrounding areas,” said Jamar McKneely Inspire NOLA Schools CEO and Alliance for Diversity & Excellence member. “I offer my congratulations to the 2020-2021 cohort members, and I know that this year’s cohort will play an integral role in the educational futures of our students and communities.”

In the ADE Senior Leadership Institute, each fellow participates in professional development sessions in Personal Leadership, Performance Management, Political Acumen, Finance and Operations, Instructional Leadership, and Community Engagement. Every leader has been assigned a veteran mentor to assist in coaching and development.

This group represents 12 educational organizations in New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, St. Charles Parish, and Baton Rouge.

The newly named 2020-2021 ADE Senior Leadership Institute Cohort members are:
