TREATS FOR THE TROOPS

Beginning on Wednesday, November 3rd through Friday, November 5th, the Service elective students in 7th & 8th grades will be collecting any surplus Halloween candy from your child’s trick-or-treat adventures at morning drop off ONLY. We will collect any wrapped candy but please remember that this candy cannot be brought into the school building at any time. This candy will be donated to the USO of NC for their holiday celebrations with local service personnel and their families. Your son or daughter can also write a special letter or make a card to show their appreciation to our military men and women for their sacrifices and service to our country. The USO will kindly pass along your letters to very grateful troops. Parents, we encourage you to help your child with this project or even write your own letter of thanks.
Thank you so much for your support. If you have any questions regarding any of the above,
please contact: Magi Wilson, Magimw4@gmail.com/(646) 280-6632.

PSO NEWS
Monarch Mondays Order Information
The PSO can't wait to see our Monarchs in their fresh new Monarch Mondays gear beginning Monday, November 8th. Have you ordered your shirt or hoodie yet from Ink'd Threads? Order soon to receive your gear on time; select USPS or UPS shipping. Monarch students may wear their new, black shirts with the bottoms of their choice (following the school's guidelines) EVERY MONDAY for the rest of the school year! See the FAQ page here. Sponsors: the PSO will deliver your shirts to your oldest child's homeroom in the first week of November. Contact Molly Pryzwansky with questions (mollypryz@hotmail.com).

Now's a great time to add a spirit shirt or maroon hoodie to your cart when you order. Remember, the black Monarch Mondays hoodies are for Mondays only. If you need a sweatshirt during the school week as the weather gets chillier, we have maroon "Uniform Approved" hoodies on the Ink'd Threads site - you can even customize your maroon uniform hoodie with your favorite sport or club!
Teacher Shirt Donations Needed - Link Closes Sunday, November 7th
We're entering the final week to donate a Monarch Mondays shirt to a teacher for only $20. Help us outfit the whole school community in Monarch Mondays gear, including our housekeeping, cafeteria and aftercare staff, as well as Fr. Chris, Seminarian John, and Deacons Rick and Dev. We have shirts for Monsignor Staib and all the teachers too! Donation link closes on Sunday, November 7th.  Click here to donate, or tap the Monarch Mondays tile on the Family App home screen. Haven't downloaded the Family App yet? Search "St Mary Magdalene School" in your app store, and then use your FACTS/RenWeb credentials to log in; our district code is STMM-NC.
Mother Son Event - Tickets Now Available
Please join us for the return of our annual Mother Son Event on Saturday, November 13th from 1:30-3:30pm in the back parking lot. We'll have carnival games, fun and treats, and even a prize booth!  Tickets are only $20 per family; flat admission fee for the special lady (mom, grandma, aunt or other special lady) and all the PreK-5th grade boys in the family. We need your help to ensure that this event runs smoothly, so please sign up to oversee a carnival game booth for a 40 minute shift, or have your middle schooler sign up for service hours by using this link. Middle school volunteers get free admission. We can't wait to see you for the return of this much-loved annual event!
