Encuentro
The V Encuentro process continues moving forward and we are now in Phase Six, where implementation of conclusions and new practice is taking place. This process is a beacon of hope in the midst of the difficult times we are in.

We invite you to join us for an English language presentation on the ongoing process of collaboration and integration. This presentation is intended for archbishops and bishops of the Southeast U.S., along with all clergy, religious, diocesan and parish staff, and volunteers leaders working with Youth and Young Adults, family and evangelization.

The meeting will be held via Zoom on Thursday, October 1, from 3 to 4 pm (Eastern). To register for the presentation, please click on the following link.

If you have specific questions, please contact Carlos Flores, in the diocesan Hispanic Ministry Office, at (727) 344-1611, ext. 5472, or cf@dosp.org

Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Suicidal thoughts, much like mental health conditions, can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or background. Every year thousands of individuals die by suicide, leaving behind their friends and family members to navigate the tragedy of loss. If you or someone you know is contemplating suicide, call The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or call 911 immediately. Learn more by viewing the National Alliance on Mental Illness website, available at this link.
For the Faithful Departed

Let us keep the souls and the families of the faithful departed in our prayers:

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God rest in peace!
