Spring 2021
Students Research Project in Space!
What do you do when field trips are not an option? We took a virtual trip to outer space instead! The STEM Greenhouse partnered with Magnitude.io to participate in an 8 week, project-based learning opportunity. Students from Dickinson Academy in GRPS, joined students from schools from California to South Africa, to grow clover plants in their classrooms. The plants grown on earth were compared to plants growing in microgravity on the International Space Station! This project was also a great opportunity to learn about space science, plant growth, and the scientific method.
Thank you for supporting us as we grow. Until next time!
