GRANTS AVAILABLE TO OC BIPOC ARTS ORGS

Assistance is available to Orange County arts organizations primarily serving communities of color under the California Arts Council/Arts Orange County CARES Act Grants Program. The purpose of these grants is to aid local arts organizations serving socially vulnerable populations within their communities that are not eligible for other direct CARES Act stimulus grants. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 21, at 5 pm. View the guidelines and apply online here.

On behalf of the City of Newport Beach, Arts Orange County is pleased to announce a call for entries for Phase VI of its ongoing Sculpture Exhibition in Civic Center Park. Artists, private collectors, galleries, and museums/non-profit institutions are invited to submit artworks for consideration for a temporary exhibition at the site. Up to ten artworks may be selected and showcased for two years in the heart of 14-acre, ocean-view site-a park designed by renowned landscape architect Peter Walker. The Civic Center Park has developed into a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. DEADLINE TO APPLY: December 8, 2020 Guidelines and online submission here.

ArtsOC has joined with Californians for the Arts and Americans for the Arts in a voter awareness campaign, seeking to increase voter turnout in this year's election. Pledge to vote here and receive access to custom images created by artist Shepard Fairey to share on social media. This link also provides you with essential California voter information.

MainPlace Mall located at 2800 N Main Street, Santa Ana, California is issuing a Call for Public Art Proposals to Santa Ana-based artists or artist teams for the design, fabrication, and installation of an original, durable, and low-maintenance indoor public artwork suitable for placement on this property. There are several mural opportunities in addition to sculptures and freestanding artwork. The budget for each project ranges between $1,000 and $5,000. The Management Team will review complete proposal submittals and award more than one artist/team the contract to execute their public art concept(s). The deadline for proposal submission is Sunday, September 13 at 11:59PM (PST)
