Letter from Marshall Abbott
The Chair of our Board of Directors, Marshall Abbott, Ann Cross's son, has written a letter with his family sharing an update on the organization over the past year and our vision for the future. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and supporters who have brought us through 2020.

Snow Moon Lunar Walk
Join us Feb 26 - 28 for a guided Lunar Walk to celebrate the Snow Moon. We will run a limit of 6 hikes on the beautiful ASCCA for cohorts of up to 8. Learn about snow and animal adaptations to winter all under the light of the full moon. $50/group. Hikes start at 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm.

Book your hike by contacting Laura at lgriffin@crossconservation.org.
Education Programs Going Strong
Our Education Coordinator shares an update on how our conservation education programs have adapted and continued through the pandemic, made possible by our outstanding team of volunteers.

Check out the MRU Ecology students’ work in their “Winter Adaptations” video to bring some cheer to your cold snap.
MRU Connection - Did You Know?
The last two fall semesters our Education team job-shared and spent their days off teaching Ecology to the Ecotourism students at Mount Royal University (MRU).

It was an honour to be selected by MRU for the position and to have it approved by our ASCCA Board. We have enjoyed the amazing opportunity to engage as educators in new ways, to showcase the ASCCA as a conservation treasure close to Calgary, and build connections to the future generation of environmental enthusiasts. This also lead to the recruitment of 8 new volunteers to the ASCCA.
CCC Volunteer Newsletter
Last fall we accepted two volunteers from the CWF's Canadian Conservation Corps. Maha and Lucy volunteered as visitor ambassadors, helped with events, and worked on a wildlife camera project. At the end of their placement they put together a newsletter and a Google site to share their 3-month experience.

ASCCA Welcomes Andrew and Curtis, MRU Practicum Students
We are excited to be working with MRU again to take on more practicum students. Andrew and Curtis have put together 'get to know us' videos, which you can watch below.
What's to Love about the ASCCA?
For Valentine's Day we shared this video compilation of our volunteers sharing what they love about the ASCCA. We love our amazing volunteers and could not keep the legacy of Ann and Sandy Cross going without their support and dedication to their conservation vision.
