Universal Qualification Extended to More Denver Area Schools

Students attending one of the schools on our Universal Qualification List are eligible to select a wardrobe at Clothes To Kids of Denver using any form of proof of enrollment from their school. The list was recently expanded from 150 schools to nearly 300 and includes all schools where 70 percent or more of students are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch.
The following forms of proof of enrollment are accepted:
  • Student ID
  • Copy of student record
  • Student report card
  • Free and Reduced Lunch letter
  • Letter on school letterhead showing proof of enrollment

"Social workers, school nurses, family liaisons, school psychologists and other employees at schools with a high level of need have limited time to make referrals for students seeking assistance," says Katie Jadwin , executive director of Clothes To Kids. "We want to make sure that connecting students with clothing is as easy as possible."
Stand-Out Service

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes from Jefferson Academy Secondary collected 70 warm coats for our shoppers. These coats were especially appreciated during our chilly, wet spring!

Congratulations to our "Shoe Guy" Jeff Cunningham for hitting 1,000 hours of volunteer service. We are so glad to have you on our team!

Canvas Credit Union strikes again! This fabulous team helped us move our volunteer “break room” next to the office, creating lots of additional work space in our donation center. Thanks for sharing your time and your muscles with us!

You definitely don't want to get caught in a check-out line behind one of our volunteer "deal finders!" A HUGE thanks to Paula Woodman for finding a great deal on these socks...10 pairs for only $3.00!

We are happy to welcome Carson Elementary School to the Clothes To Kids Bin Program! They received their donation bin in January and already have filled it up multiple times. The Carson Cougars are such enthusiastic supporters and are fun to have as community partners.

We are so grateful to the Denver Public Schools Pupil Assistance Fund (PAF) for sponsoring 350+ new coats for our shoppers. The PAF also sponsors thousands of pairs of new underwear and new socks for our shoppers annually. Thank you to Amy Grant , Cathe Schultz and the entire PAF Board for your strong support!

Special thanks to our luncheon speakers Joyce Meyers, Darrell Anderson, Suzanne Brown and Nik Stoffel for an inspiring presentation!
Click to watch Clothes To Kids co-founder Joyce Meyers and Denver artist Darrell Anderson unveil Darrell's painting "Ready To Go" at the luncheon. This beautiful work will be displayed at various sites around Denver and then auctioned off at the 2019 Blue Jean Bash on September 21.
Our luncheon video " How to Dispose of Clothes Responsibly " from the video news network Now This was super informative and a major crowd-pleaser. Click the image above to watch!
