Dear St. Mark Families,

The Office of the Superintendent continues to work diligently to meet the challenges that lie ahead due to COVID-19. In May, Preschool and K-12 Task Force Groups were created to plan and prepare for welcoming students back in the fall. Please click here for a video update from Dr. Cheeseman, Superintendent of Schools.

The groups are focused on four guiding principles referred to as F.A.C.E., Faith, Academics, Community, and Empowerment. With their help, the attached Re-opening Plan was drafted. These guidelines were created with every student, parent, faculty and staff member in mind. It is expected that these guidelines will need to adjust as time goes by and conditions change. We will modify as we go, and an updated version will always be found on the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools website . While guidelines may need to be adjusted as we move closer to September, its intention is to bring you a bit of comfort and relief in knowing that whatever the challenge, we will face it, together.

Using the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools Re-opening Plan, I will be working together with our faculty and staff over the next several weeks to determine how these protocols will directly impact our school community. I look forward to sharing those points with you, after we have had an opportunity to process this information and plan accordingly. I appreciate your patience as we attempt to account for every situation and detail in order to return our entire student population to the building as safely as possible.

Yours in Christ,
Melissa Warner
