HEAR FROM OUR STAFF FOR AOK UPDATES

Dear Jessica,,

Right now, members of Congress are deciding what should stay in the President’s Build Back Better plan and what will be cut. To pass the bill, leaders agreed to cut its overall size, and they are currently trying to make the numbers work. Everything – including child care and early learning -- is on the table. Raising our collective voice is more important than ever! Check this week’s newsletter to learn more about how you can prevent cuts to child care and early learning!

All Our Kin is partnering with 60 Decibels, a customer research company, to conduct phone surveys with educators who use our services. You may receive a call from a representative from 60 Decibels this month. While this survey is voluntary, we would value your feedback as it will help us identify opportunities to improve our services. If you have already received a call and participated in the survey, we thank you for taking the time and providing us feedback.

For all webinars, training opportunities and upcoming events, make sure to visit the All Our Kin website for the latest. We look forward to seeing you soon — in-person or online.

On behalf of the entire All Our Kin team, we continue to send our love, friendship and support.

Tell Congress to Invest in

Child Care!

For months the President has advocated for historic investments in the Care Infrastructure — including child care and early learning — but some members of Congress believe it’s too expensive. To reach a compromise, Congressional leaders have agreed to cut the overall size of the bill. Now they’re deciding what stays in and what comes out and everything is on the table. Your voice and the voices of families you work with are urgently needed to prevent cuts to child care and early learning. Click here to send a message to Congress – it’s easy and will only take a few minutes. Please do this even if you’ve already shared your views with Congress. Then, invite the families you work with to join you, because we’re all in this together!

Make Your Voice Heard with Local Elected Officials

State Senator Jabari Brisport (from Brooklyn) wants to build a universal child care system in New York State and he along with other elected officials want to hear directly from parents and educators like you to inform their plans. State Sen. Jabari Brisport is partnering with other state legislators and advocates from across New York on a 9 week state-wide Child Care Listening Tour.

On October 20th at 7pm, Senator Brisport will be hosting a virtual listening session for Bronx providers and parents! Participate in the discussion and share your voice as family child care educators!
