Dear Friends of CIHF,
Winter is fast approaching and as the temperatures begin to cool here in Ithaca, we are meditating on the progress of 2019 while looking forward to what the new year will bring.
This past spring we gathered to discuss the benefits of nature for physical and mental health, and in the fall we had productive conversations on the advantages of incorporating certain hospitality practices when it comes to increasing work place well-being. We made new connections with our graduate student population, and our first undergraduate minor graduated this past spring. We conclude the year with deep gratitude for the dedication of the CIHF community; the future path promises to be rich with far-reaching impacts when it comes to a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare and wellness.
Albert Camus once wrote, "In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer." We hope as the cold deepens, we all find the summer within to help us reflect and gather energy for the coming seasons.
We look forward to seeing more of our CIHF community in 2020 and wish everyone a happy winter solstice!
