Celebrity Dairy will be at market this week with FIG goat cheese. Delicious to put on apples, graham crackers or to eat on a sweet bagel !! 

We offer a selection of goats milk items handcrafted with love in Siler City, NC! At our booth you'll find a rainbow of flavors displaying our spreadable cheeses, nestled in among our pure chevrè, aged bloomy rind cheeses, yogurts, gelato, fudge, & even soaps. As NC's pioneer farmstead goat dairy, we've been treating all our goats like celebrities since 1991 and strive to do the same for our customers! Farmhouse Cheese:  All our Jersey milk goes for cheese and it is a golden color from the grass and is A2A2 milk. We have Dairyland Farmers cheese, YoYo, aged Calvander, similar to Asiago, bloomy-rinded Carolina Moon, semi-aged New Moon, semi-firm Hickory Grove, a little Paneer, and a little pungent Danziger. YoYo, our cream top yogurt style, which is $4.00 per pint, is thick, unsweetened, and has live cultures. Use it with your granola or pancakes. Serve Hickory Grove at room temperature with fall crop apples or make a grilled cheese sandwich. Use Farmers with beet, homemade chili or for our chopped salad recipe. We may also bring some Hot and Dill Farmers.

   Pastured Beef: Make a burger with our Ground Beef It's $7.00/ lb. and delicious for Chili, cheeseburgers,tacos, and stuffed cabbage leaves.We also have lean Ground Round, a variety of steaks, Chuck roasts, and stew beef. If you don't see a particular cut, let us know and we can bring it next week if it's available. Our herd is pasture-raised and Animal Welfare Approved. 

  Whey Fed Pork:  Our sausage is currently available only for pick up at the farm 1-2pm Saturday for a few more weeks since we used hams from our friend Sam who owns the Pig restaurant.This pork is from Animal Welfare Approved farms and we have various flavors that our customers love. Preorder sausage or cheese through our website (https://chapelhillcreamery.square.site/) or drop by during those hours. Beef is available when you arrive. Thanks for supporting local farms!
Haw River Mushrooms
It's finally fall, it's time for warming soups and sweaters;) We have all the savory mushrooms to add the umami to your dishes. We should have good variety. In addition to our oysters we will have lions mane, cinnamon caps, black pearls and shiitake! Our shiitakes are open for online purchase so reserve yours before they sell out. 
We will also have grow bags back in stock. These are ready to fruit, at home grow kits to get fresh blue oysters growing in your kitchen. 

We strongly encourage preorders to reserve your favorites and make pick up quick.

We are always happy to make recommendations for you in person at the market, or you can pre-order online from our entire line-up, and pickup at the Market. PLEASE NOTE: Pre-orders for DFM pickup must be placed by 6:00pm on the Friday before the Market. Simply select Durham Farmers Market as your pickup location when you place your order. 
 
Our Tasting Room is about a mile away from the Market & currently open for curbside take out and outdoor seating Friday through Sunday. Grab a bottle or a flight and explore our extensive mead selection!

** FARM NEWS:  

Mario and Jose continue to change over the summer crops to the cool season produce. This week, I am driving to the mountains to get our certified organic strawberry plants... that will need to get planted within the next week.  We all hope to enjoy organic delicious healthy berries in May and June.  Organic SWEET POTATOES are getting ready to be dug and cured ... this is a new crop for us ... and we have three delicious varieties for you. We hope they will be ready in the next several weeks just in time for the holiday season.

With the cooler nights, the okra and cucumbers have just about stopped producing. Mario has the solar powered greenhouses packed with produce ... and they will be coming soon.  Did you know that even our FLOWER bouquets are certified organic?  Orange and yellow MARIGOLDS will be ready this Saturday from the greenhouse... they are so fragrant and beautiful in our flower bouquets. It is not too early to be thinking about ordering your beautiful holiday wreaths... meticulously made by Mario from greenery on the farm. We will have two sizes.. small or large.

Delicious meat-type LAMB and CHEVON (goat meat) is plentiful this week... go ahead and reserve your LEG of LAMB (whole or half) for the holidays... and Chevon (goat) leg... along with thick, meaty LOIN CHOPS. Fresh pastured 21-day dry-aged ANGUS BEEF also available this Saturday... and that means thick, grilling size RIBEYES, NEW YORK STRIPS, SIRLOINS, Slabs of beef RIBS, Brisket, and ROASTS, and much more. Our aged steaks go quickly so order online before Saturday. We have other perfect cuts of meat for you to cook out. Try thick pork chops or maybe a juicy Chevon (goat) burger on the grill.  This is Saturday's link for placing orders, October 23rd. Cutoff time to place an order using this link is Thursday at 5:00 p.m.. You will be sent an invoice after your order is pulled.

Our menu changes weekly, with the season’s freshest ingredients inspiring our fare.
