VSO Brings Music to the Heart
of the Little City
Thursday, Aug. 6th 6:30pm
The Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is embarking on a small format statewide tour this summer — hosting free concerts designed for passersby in outdoor areas in each county across the state. Together with Vergennes Opera House , the Partnership is thrilled to host a string trio at the Sue O'Daniel bandstand in the heart of Vergennes on the City Green on Thursday, August 6th.

Close to Home and Far Afield ’ was born out of the need for space to provide the safe enjoyment of the VSO for listeners across Vermont. This project — kick-started by a collection of recent performances at assisted living facilities in Burlington, Middlebury, and Bristol — will continue throughout the summer and reach all 14 Vermont counties. With the status of many annual, traditional performances on hold or
canceled for the remainder of the year due to both extensive venue closures and the VSO’s own
precautions for the health of its listeners, this series strives to serve communities statewide effectively and safely. Share the news through the Partnership's Facebook page .
