Journey with us at Slash from Lent to Easter!
The kind of Lent Jesus desires for us is the kind that prepares our hearts for a Savior who rises from the ashes of death and injustice to bring us a new life of justice and joy. Lent reminds us that we cannot do everything on our own and that we need and can depend on God.
Both lifelong Christians and people on the edges of the church have some of the same basic questions about life and faith which we will explore as we journey toward Easter.
- Who is Jesus?
- What Matters Most?
- Am I Accepted?
- Where is God?
- What Brings Fulfillment?
- What About Suffering?
- Is There Hope?
Join us during Lent as we answer these questions culminating with our celebration of the Hope of Easter found in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hold the Date! Sunday March 21, 2021
3:00 - 4:00 pm
Join us as we learn about Christian Ethics in relation to the death penalty in Virginia from the comfort of your own home (via Zoom).
Even though a bill has been voted on to end the death penalty in Virginia - the Governor will soon sign it into law, Christians throughout the world still debate the issue. What do you believe about Capital Punishment? Can you be a Christian and support the death penalty? Are there scriptural arguments for both sides? This is just a part of the discussion!
*Your participation is needed - This gathering is a part of a graded exercise for Frances Stanley's seminary exam.
