Church-Wide Events
This Sunday - Nick Stumbo, Executive Director of Pure Desire Ministries, will be sharing a message called "Purifying My Desires: Understanding the Goodness of God in our Sexuality." Read an introduction to Nick below.

Due to the sensitive nature of this topic, parents should exercise discretion about including their children in the adult services this Sunday. Fifth and sixth graders will be invited to EDGE 56.

You will be able to buy a copy of Ted Roberts' book, Pure Desire, at the Resource Hub for $15. There will also be a table in the Atrium for the purchase of other books and resources from Pure Desire.

The Lifespring table this Sunday will have information about upcoming Petra groups related to this topic, including Sexual Integrity 101, Helping Her Heal, and Unraveled.
As a third-generation pastor, Nick Stumbo observed first-hand the fallout of sexual brokenness and devastation in the lives of men and women in the church.

After facing his own addiction to pornography, Nick and his wife, Michelle, found hope and healing through the counseling and group ministries of Pure Desire. It radically changed their lives! His public disclosure to his church body led to much forgiveness and healing and the launch of Pure Desire groups for men and women.

Today, as the Executive Director of Pure Desire, Nick continues to believe that the church can become a place of healing. He is the author of Setting Us Free and Safe: Creating a Culture of Grace in a Climate of Shame.

Nick lives in Oregon with his wife and four children.

Mission Prayer Focus - Chris and April Zimmerman are Petra missionaries serving on staff as part of the leadership team of YWAM Lancaster. They also oversee PA Mission Builder teams. Pray for God’s leading, anointing, and provision as they assist with leadership at YWAM Lancaster and as they help to organize teams to do construction and renovations at various YWAM bases. Mission Opportunities - Are you disappointed that short-term mission trips have been cancelled because of COVID? While short-term missions may look different these days, there are still plenty of ways you can get involved. You can serve as individuals, families, or with a group of friends! For a list of ministries that offer mission and service opportunities locally – and throughout the U.S. – go to petra.church/go or pick up info at one of the Hubs.
