15th Sunday in Ordinary Time
He spoke to them at length in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow." Matthew 13:3
Weekly message from Fr. Mike
Our parish will begin celebrating the Sacrament of First Eucharist this Saturday, July 11 th at the 5:00 Mass. Our children have been waiting patiently for the time when they would be joining us at the Lord’s Table. It is now time for us to begin sharing this blessed event with our families. Please welcome them. They will be wearing special First Communion masks made with love by our own Lenore Kinman.

Please take a moment to review again our guidelines for coming to mass . I especially ask you to remember that the restrooms are closed except for emergencies. Please do not come to church expecting to be able to use the bathrooms.

The Baptism Class for the month of July will be on Sunday, July 19 at approximately 10:30 am. Please meet outside the Library in the Gathering Space. To RSVP for the class, please call the Parish Office.

Below is an appeal from the Catholic bishops of Missouri:

MO Catholic bishops support Medicaid Expansion on August 4 th Ballot
Expanding access to Medicaid will help many low-income, working Missourians get access to healthcare coverage through the Medicaid program. It will also help Catholic hospitals improve their operating margins by reducing uncompensated care. The Missouri bishops are supporting this effort. Will you join them? For more information on Medicaid, and to listen to a podcast about the Medicaid expansion ballot proposal (Amendment 2), please visit the Missouri Catholic Conference website at www.mocatholic.org .

El Salvador update
Our El Salvador ministry continues to move forward. Students in our communities of Paso Puente and Distrito Italia are attending classes remotely. This can be challenging because of lack of access to WIFI.

To date, Holy Spirit has contributed over $13,500 against our goal of $17,200. We are hopeful that we can meet our target goal by September. If you have not yet made a contribution and would like to be involved, you may do so online .

Because we cannot travel to El Salvador, a virtual meeting will be setup. This will give us an opportunity to meet the students we are helping. If you would like to be involved, contact Deacon Rich Akins, rich.akins@holyspiritmo.org or
816-537-6990 x305.
Blood Drive
Our next Blood Drive will be Sunday, July 26 from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

To sign up, please click here .

Thank you to all who have stepped up to give blood for the people of our local community. Blood supplies have been short due to the coronavirus crisis, so your continued support is most appreciated.
RCIA
Do you know someone who is searching for a deeper relationship with Christ through the Catholic Church?

The process of the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a good start. Contact Deacon Rich at the Parish Office for more information, rich.akins@holyspiritmo.org or
