Friends of the Truro Library
The Friends of the Truro Library will be holding its Sixth Annual Crock-Pot Lunch on Wednesday, January 8th, 12 noon, at the Truro Public Library. Please bring your favorite soup or stew to share, preferably in a crock-pot so it can be kept warm. All are welcome, even if unable to provide a dish.
Sustainable CAPE
On Thursday, January 30, at 4:00pm, Sustainable CAPE will host its annual Children's Community Garden Art Exhibit at the Truro Public Library. The 2020 show, Seeding Our Future, is a great opportunity to celebrate the new year with the young artists of the Cape. Brighten your day with growth and creativity. All are welcome!  More...
Outermost Contra Dance
On Friday, January 10 come celebrate the start of a spectacular new decade with dancing and great live music. Boston musician-performer-singer/songwriter-contra dance caller Erica Weiss will grace our first dance of 2020 to the music of local band, "Married to Corrigans." And, yes, they're all married to Corrigans: fiddler Stuart Moore, guitarist Amy Corrigan, and banjo player William Montague will lift your spirits with lively old-time and Celtic favorites. The contra dance is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels. Community potluck at 6pm, dance at 7pm at Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street, Wellfleet.   More...

The Town of Truro has committed to convene a representative citizen committee to engage a wide range of Truro residents and develop plans for the use of the Walsh property, which was authorized to be purchased by the Town for general municipal purposes. In the event of an emergency, such as severe weather or a power outage, if a member of your household would require special assistance due to a health condition, please contact the Truro Council on Aging to be added to the Elders of Special Concern program. Participants will be contacted by the Council on Aging or the Truro Police Department to determine if they have adequate supplies in preparing for an emergency. If you live alone, are disabled, use oxygen or other special medical equipment please contact the Council on Aging at (508) 413-9508 to be added to this program. ALERTruro
