From the Executive Director
Dear Friends,

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this next chapter at Reeves-Reed Arboretum! Throughout my twelve years working here I have seen such tremendous growth in the quantity and quality of the programs offered and in the number of visitors to the grounds. I love to tell the story of my first Daffodil Day back in 2008, when we had at most 40 people in attendance. Nowadays our events attract well over 1,500 visitors! Bigger, better, bolder – those are three words that come to mind when I think of my tenure at RRA.

One of the things I love most about the Arboretum is its sense of community. I have watched many toddlers I taught back in 2009 return as teenagers to volunteer. My hope is that when they are adults, they will return and share this special place with their own children. Helping to make memories is something I strive to do in the work I carry out every day.

If I have not had the pleasure of meeting you yet, please be sure to stop by and say hello. Until next time…

Warmly,
Jackie Kondel
Executive Director
Arboretum Updates
ART in the Garden is the Arboretum's biggest fundraiser, and while we aren't able to hold a live event under the stars, we will still have all your favorite items along with some new ones available for you to bid on from the comfort of your home!

NEW! This year we decided to make several items available for purchase now so you can enjoy the activities during the summer and help support the Arboretum!
More than Margaritas
Nothing tastes more refreshing than a margarita on a hot summer night! Gather 25 of your closest friends for a tequila and margarita tasting under the stars at Reeves-Reed Arboretum.
Private Family Campout
Share a night under the stars with family and friends during a private campout at the Arboretum. This exclusive offer is for up to 20 people who will have the grounds of the Arboretum all to themselves.
Movie Night at the Arboretum
The Arboretum's take on a drive-in theater. Enjoy an outdoor screening for 40 people of a family-friendly flick on a giant screen!
These items will only be available for purchase for a short time, so don’t delay!

Thanks to all those who have already contributed to our Annual Appeal. If you haven’t sent in your contribution yet, now is the time. We still need to raise an additional $10,000 to meet our goal. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Pesto is a tasty sauce made with basil leaves and it's oh so good on pasta. Hmmm, what would happen if we harvested a variety of different greens from the garden and experimented in the kitchen to create new and interesting flavor combinations? We could do a taste test to choose our favorite pesto! Yum, pass the pesto please! This class will be held at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Registration is required.
