After more than a year of research, the St. Louis REALTORS issued a report on building codes in St. Louis County titled: Inconsistent Regulations: Building Codes in St. Louis County. Did you know that there are 42 codebooks used by the 89 governing authorities in St. Louis County? This adds up to 809 chapters and 16,786 pages of building codes - and that doesn't even include fire code or energy conservation code!

The Center for Green Schools released a unique series of fact sheets about indoor air quality (IAQ), designed to help people without a technical background understand some of the more complicated details about common strategies. Developed by dozens of experts, the series presents simple, straightforward evidence about the most pressing topics in school IAQ. |

The series includes an overview, which gives a foundation on school IAQ strategies and measures, as well as four fact sheets on:
· Ventilation
· HVAC Filtration
· In-room air cleaners
· Germicidal UV
Share this resource with friends, neighbors, coworkers, and clients so that everyone has a better grasp of how to protect students at school this year.

Missouri Green Schools is excited to welcome new and returning AmeriCorps VISTAs and team members who will support low-income schools' participation in the statewide recognition program. Parker and Sister Sharon will focus on providing one-on-one support to assist with action planning and progress tracking as well as outreach to expand program reach, and Ben will manage the development of a statewide network of organizations that desire to help schools lower their environmental impact, improve health, and shift to a culture of sustainability.
