SAVE THE DATE | Grow Your Mind: Meet the Scientist!

Puesta del Sol PTA welcomes Dr. Aaron Wirsing from the University of Washington
to our Grow Your Mind Speaker series.
We are excited to learn from Dr. Wirsing how he uses a combination of fieldwork and modeling techniques, working in both terrestrial and aquatic systems, to look at the ways that top predators, such as grey wolves
and tiger sharks, can shape their communities and ecosystems through their presence alone. He will be discussing animals he has researched all over the world, including some here in Washington.

Thank you to Popcorn: Play, party & cook, co-owner Ksenia, and
experienced chef (My Cafe Gourmand) and teacher of French
Natali Delepine for the Culinary Geography Class.
During this class we learned a bit about France and it's wonderful traditions, learned some French and cooked Galette Des Rois using Natali's very own recipe.

Did you you donate money to the Puesta del Sol PTA during 2020?
If you need a receipt for tax purposes, please email deposits@puestadelsolpta.org with "Donation Receipt" in the subject line. It may take a few days to process depending on demand. Receipts are always available all year round, you don't need to wait until tax season to ask for yours!

Members vote on issues such as programming, budget, and board members. It's a terrific way for older students to learn the value of civic engagement.
Puesta del Sol PTA membership is open to everyone! PTA is an inclusive organization, and we invite any community members who care about healthy children and strong schools to join.

The Meals2Go program, offered by our Nutrition Services team, is designed to provide a FREE breakfast and lunch option for families to access for their children. Families have two options to access meals on school days:
Meals are provided at no cost thanks to the extension of a nationwide waiver authorized by USDA. This waiver will be in effect for the entire 2020-21 school year.
