Dear Residents & Families,
Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our staff and your loved ones as safe as possible.
Our internal COVID Response Team has developed protocols for
supervised outdoor patio visits
. These controlled visits have been rolled out at Madrona House. We are working hard to make outdoor visits available at our other communities, we hope to have news to share soon.
COVID-19 TESTING
As of today, we have no positive cases of COVID-19 in our Bainbridge Senior Living communities. Of course we are still monitoring for symptoms or circumstances which match those related to the novel coronavirus. Move-ins are being welcomed at all of our communities with safety measures in place – including quarantine.
Madrona House recently concluded universal coronavirus testing.
All staff
– which included outside therapists and some shared administration members – and
all consenting residents
tested negative. Testing for COVID-19 has been steadily increasing in Washington state. This week we learned that universal testing for all assisted living facilities could be on the horizon. We will of course keep everyone updated as we learn details.
COMMUNITY UPDATE
Researchers at the University of Washington say they’ve developed
a promising vaccine candidate
. That’s welcome good news at a time when the coronavirus crisis is worsening across the United States and emergency relief is about to expire.
In Washington, 920 new cases were recorded Saturday (July 18
th
), bringing the total in the state to nearly 47,000. Kitsap County’s Phase 3 application is on pause until at least July 28th. Kitsap remains in Phase 2 of the state’s
four-part reopening plan
.
Thanks to everyone for helping us stay safe.
