Reminder: Assessment due date Aug. 1
Ocean Pines is reminding those who have not yet paid the annual assessment that the deadline to do so is Aug. 1. Homeowners with unpaid assessments after Aug. 1 will be charged 6% interest on late payments. Read more.
Ballots mailed to eligible voters, deadline Aug. 5
The 2020 Ocean Pines election is officially underway, as ballots were mailed last week to all eligible voters in the community. Ballots must be returned by Wednesday, Aug. 5, and voters may select no more than two candidates. Read more.

The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop Now Open
The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop is now open Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Masks are required, and only credit card payments are currently accepted. The shop is located in White Horse Park next to the Ocean Pines Administration Building.

Shepherd's Nook & Flea Market Open
The Shepherd's Nook and Flea Market at the Community Church at Ocean Pines and Sarah's Pantry are open. All facilities require that masks be worn inside. The Nook will be restricted to 8 customers entering at a time and the flea market will be limited to 5 customers at a time. The direct phone number for the Nook and Sarah's Pantry is 410-641-8392. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ocean Pines Anglers Club Asking for Catch Data
Members of the Ocean Pines Anglers Club are asking local anglers to log and submit their catch data, to help improve statistics that govern recreational fishing. To view the form, visit https://fishinoc.com/fish-data.

July 25: Just Walk Scavenger Hunt
The Worcester County Health Department will host a self-directed Just Walk scavenger hunt on July 25. Residents can get in their steps from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at John Walter Smith Park in Snow Hill, Maryland Cypress Park in Pocomoke and Stephen Decatur Park in Berlin. Social distancing and CDC safety guidelines should be followed by all participants. Online registration can be completed at

August 1: Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Flounder Tournament
Lines in at 7 a.m., lines out at 3 p.m. Weigh-in at the Ocean Pines Marina (behind the Yacht Club) from 12-4 p.m. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus calcuttas. $45 per angler, or $40 each groups of two or more. Register online by July 31 at oceanpineschamber.org.
