Cardinal Cupich has this message to share with all the confirmandi who are waiting for the sacrament of Confirmation.
His encouragement is worth hearing, as he reminds us that this time of waiting is not a waste of time, but a way to prepare more deeply for the sacrament.
As we move through these days, I would strongly encourage you to do a few things:
This is no time to stop thinking of Works of Mercy. You don't have the usual opportunities for doing things outside your home / neighborhood, but that doesn't mean that you have no chances to act mercifully. (If you are in the 2020 group, you don't need to continue to journal unless you would like to.)
Remember that the Works of Mercy continue until you meet the Lord and give an accounting of your life. While our lives are a bit limited, we still have the opportunity to reach out in service to each other.
