Champions for Children Award Nominations Now Being Accepted
The coronavirus pandemic hasn't stopped the great work of our providers and community leaders and it definitely won't stop the 2020 Champions for Children Award Ceremony that honors the best of our community serving the children of Miami-Dade County. Due to pandemic, this year's award ceremony will be held virtually in the fall.
If you know an individual who has gone above and beyond to impact the lives of children, consider nominating them for one on the following:
- The David Lawrence Jr. Champion for Children Award is open for nominations from the community and honors an individual for a lifetime of notable achievement and dedication to children in Miami-Dade County.
- The Excellence in Direct Service Award also is open for nominations from the community and recognizes an employee (not a manager or executive director) of a program or initiative funded by The Children's Trust whose primary duties are to provide direct service to children and families.
Nominations will be accepted until August 7.

Copies of
Visible You
Book Available at No Cost
Visible You
is inspired by a reality where people are more concerned with aligning themselves to their Outer World as opposed to honoring their true self or Inner World. It is geared towards middle school and high school students or for parents to read with their young ones. The intention of this book is to serve as a tool to strengthen that Inner World in order for readers to find calmness with the things they cannot control and solutions for what they can; ultimately, providing them with the support to trust themselves and feel grounded.
