Backpack and School Supplies Drive!
Hello Friends of HYC,

During this very challenging time, HYC is still preparing to help families with the needed school supplies and backpacks to start a new successful school year. YOU can also help children and teens be ready for success, by donating to the HYC Backpack and School Supplies Drive! For contactless donations, we offer people an option to make an online donation at www,hycinc.org/donations to help us purchase supplies, or you can visit the HYC Amazon Wish List here . When making an online donation, please be sure to write "Backpack Drive" in the comment section of the payment form. If you browse our Amazon Wish List, you can select an item (or two), and when you check out, be sure to choose our shipping address to get the items sent directly to us. We hope these two options allow the flexibility for people to still help without the worry of contact with anyone. If you prefer to donate an item in person, you still can. Our offices are closed to the public, so please call our office at (562) 273-0722 to schedule a drop-off.

This very challenging time has been difficult on many adults, let alone children and teens. They may not express their fears or worries in the same ways as adults, but we must remember that they feel the stress and anxiety of all the changes. Let's help our children start this school year with new school items that will help them succeed!
COVID-19 UPDATES
Let's continue to do our part to stay safe and healthy! The risk remains high and numbers are peaking. Please be sure you wear a cloth face mask to protect yourself and others when going out and refrain from large crowd gatherings. Be sure to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands when you are out and as soon as you get home. If you are sick or are experiencing any symptoms of illness, please stay home. Let's all do our part so we can reduce the numbers of cases and illness so we can all get back to doing the things we enjoy. To find out if you are eligible for a COVID-19 test, please click on the link below for a full list of testing locations in Los Angeles County.
