What's Trending in Remodeling Design in Madison?
Industry pros weigh-in on the hottest new kitchen, bathroom and basement design trends

Who knew that 2020 would become such a surprising, confusing, and frustrating year! Predictions are often wrong because life is complicated and what’s trending isn’t necessarily what’s actually going to happen. But the good news is that despite all of this year’s challenges, home renovations and remodels are going strong, guided by design trends that are even stronger than ever before. Let’s take a look at what’s hot for this crazy year and beyond.
Scenic Serenity: A Master Bath Is Designed for Relaxation
This Fitchburg family approached Sweeney Design Remodel with a strong desire to transform their outdated master bathroom, which was poorly laid out. Typical of homes in this era, it included a large whirlpool tub, laminate countertops, a small modular shower, carpet, low cabinets, and no room for a makeup station.
Meet Doug Deegan, Our Productive, Friendly, Hard-Working Project Manager
Doug joined Sweeney in 2018 as a Carpenter where his responsibilities included reviewing and implementing design plans, handling procurement, demolition, framing, and finishing. In June of 2020, Doug was promoted to Project Manager. His responsibilities now include acting as a liaison between estimators, the design team, subcontractors and field staff – from inception to completion.

Thank you, T.P!
“Sweeney did a marvelous job keeping us informed of the schedule along the project. The project timeline was exceptionally accurate and even ahead of schedule for much of it. They were also excellent at controlling dust and cleaning up each day. We will use Sweeney Design Remodel again!"
