The image of dual tone multi frequency signalling (DTMF) has come in for a makeover recently in contact centres. The engine behind automated IVR menus for many years, it also now facilitates new 'keypad payment by phone' technology to help keep customers' card numbers safe when paying over the phone for goods and services.

How Locus H20 Wireless removed PCI risk from its omni-channel contact centre in the USA
  
Syntec has been working with Locus H20 Wireless on a four week integration with TokenEx's cloud tokenisation and Syntec's CardEasy keypad payment by phone system. 

Carlos Moreno, Locus's Payment and Fraud Analyst says  "We chose Syntec because they had the solution that we needed to de-scope our live contact centre agent and IVR environment. Syntec was the only vendor that provided the flexibility to integrate with our home-grown systems because their system can be cloud-based, with no requirement to change any of our existing IT."
 
CardEasy wins second PCI Award for Excellence

Syntec won its second consecutive PCI Award for Excellence at this year's recent ceremony in London for its CardEasy 'keypad payment by phone' system, in recognition of its pan-European secure phone payments solution for office supply retailer Staples.

The PCI Awards for Excellence recognise and honour the industry's most outstanding examples of best practice in payment security and PCI DSS projects and implementations.

CardEasy is Syntec's patented PCI DSS solution for 'cardholder not present' phone payments and for de-scoping call centres from PCI DSS regulations and controls, as well as helping merchants with their upcoming GDPR compliance needs in this environment.
