The town of Friendsville's tree committee along with the Ruth Enlow Library held their annual tree poster contest with the 5th grade students at Friendsville Elementary School. In the picture (back row) committee members Sue Jones, Lois Johnson, Julia Sines and Michele Liston, Friendsville Library.

The Town of Friensville provided cash prizes, first place $20.00; second place $15.00; and third place $10.00. The Friensville Library provided a handmade vintage wooden pen and pencil set for every student who entered
