GIVEN WITH LOVE...

While visitation is suspended in Texas prisons due to the coronoavirus, Bridges To Life volunteers are still making an impact! After BTL staff checked in with their prison chaplains about unit needs, our volunteers quickly stepped up to help. Hygiene items, like bar soap, toothpaste, and shampoo, were collected by the thousands and distributed to 30 prisons in BTL regions. Volunteers and BTL staff members also provided letters of encouragement to many prison staff.

Thank you to all who participated in this effort! BTL and the inmates, chaplains, wardens, and staff of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice appreciate you!

...RECEIVED WITH THANKS

"Dear Bridges to Life Volunteers,
I'm writing to thank the BTL volunteers who have graciously donated materials during the Coronavirus pandemic.
As you know, the TDCJ has placed many restrictions on the operations
of the units, including Chaplaincy operations. The last Chaplaincy service conducted here was April 1st when I led a Wednesday night Bible study. Since then I have had to come up with creative ways to minister the Word and encouragement to the men.  Thanks to generous BTL volunteers, 600 bars of Dial antibacterial soap and 240 counseling/discipleship booklets are being shipped to me at this time.
This is a challenging time for all of us. I so appreciate your prayers, thoughtfulness, and desire to partner with me as I minister to the men.
Thank you for your generosity and concern for the incarcerated!  May
our good God bless you richly."
