2nd Sunday of Christmas

Our Scriptures tell of how God makes Christ manifest, known as one who comes to the wide world, in the season of Epiphany. The authors of John's gospel and of Genesis tell us that in the beginning was the Word, in darkness and in light. We celebrate Epiphany between the twelfth day of Christmas and the beginning of Lent.
The symbols of Epiphany are the star and the Spirit of God in "the darkness upon the face of the deep; in the dense, dark cloud". How might we welcome both the guiding star and the sacred of the dark?
Join us for worship on Sunday at 10:30 AM as we learn how to find "God in the Dark"
January 5th Pulpit Supply Bio:

Rev. Dr. Kathryn Johnson Cameron draws upon her roots in Fairview, North Carolina from her mother's side of the family and her Michigan roots in Flint, from her father. She gives thanks for deep roots as she has traveled extensively and lived overseas more than once. A pastor, poet and teacher, Kathryn and her husband David returned to WNC most recently from a sojourn in Albuquerque, NM. Their adult children, Will and Katie, like calling North Carolina home and together with son-in-law Andrew, find time to hike in search of waterfalls.
