Summer Reading Club - Coming Soon!
Readers of all ages are challenged to keep track of the time they spend reading (June 7-July 31) to earn some great prizes. Plan to join us at the Kick-off Party on Monday, June 10!

It's almost that time of year again! Hardworking students will descend upon the Library as they study for finals.

The Importance of Play for Kids of All Ages
Monday, May 6, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

Play is important at any age, including teens and adults. Susan Stutzman, LCPC and RPT, will discuss the neuroscience behind the value of play and how to engage in play with your kids at different stages. Limit 30 .
Time Capsule for the trees
Time Capsule for the trees, presented by the Library's Art Committee, is a walk-in curiosity cabinet on display for one year. The eight-foot tall structure displays tree-inspired objects created by the artist and contributed by residents. Read more about contributing objects here. Items will be continue to be collected in the Library and added to the display.
Practical Tips for Tree TLC
Wednesday, May 8, 7:00 pm-8:15 pm
Tom Tyler, MS, ISA-certified Arborist, Bartlett Tree Experts, will cover practical tree care and share his 10 best trees for our urban environment.

Tolkien and Trees
Wednesday, May 15, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm
Liam Heneghan, environmental science professor at DePaul University and author, will discuss the relationship between J.R.R. Tolkien and trees. Limit 70.
