Karen Knutson will be our demo artist.  She will be demonstrating colorful starts to acrylic paintings and how to create a strong composition In figurative paintings.  She will actually be using a credit card to spread the paint. It's so much fun!

Karen Knutson will open your eyes to Gustav Klimt as you delve into acrylic for the first time or as an experienced painter.  This workshop will emphasize good design with lots of tricks and techniques to push you into Klimt's world.  New to acrylic inexpensive paints may be used for the process.  No drawing skills are necessary to enter this playful but expressive workshop.

February 18-20 2020
Anne Abgott, in her Daring color and more!  You will learn to exaggerate the possibilities of an Image.  Design, photo shop, power repetition, balance, color games through mingling with a different image produced each day. One day will venture into opaques.  All will be learned as you work from Anne's photo or if you choose to work with your own photo. All Levels are welcome.  You will never fear watercolor again.

Join Steve Rogers  as we discover the pure Joy of painting intuitive Abstract Painting with Fluid Acrylics , Watercolor Pencils and Crayons. Letting go and realizing that there are no rules, depending entirely on understanding Design and Color Theory.  All of which will be thoroughly explained and illustrated.  Then the fun begins.  Lots of intuitive painting time with help finding your direction and finally what it takes to pull an Abstract together.

Mary Blumberg , award winning artist, teacher, past president and friend of Gold Coast Watercolor Society, passed away on Dec. 9, 2019. Mary served as President 2001-2003 along with many positions through out many years as a Gold Coast member, serving as Workshop Chair until 2007 when she moved to Maryland to be near family. She was such recruiter for Gold coast that many of our past presidents and board members were brought on board by this wonderful Gracious Lady. For those wishing to honor Mary, a memorial award is being set up in her name. If you wish to contribute, you may contact Gold Coast Watercolor Society.

Gold Coast Member Joyce Hamann has passed away, she was a gifted artist and good friend to us all.
