We continue to be amazed at the Mile Hi magic we are experiencing online and on Zoom with all of you. And, we know it's not the same as being together. We are diligently working on creating a safe space for everyone to come together again. In addition, we are closely monitoring all our local and regional sources of information to ensure a smooth and safe transition when we reopen our campus.

 

Reopening will happen when we have a greater sense that our on-campus offerings and services will provide greater spiritual connection than the cost of time/supplies/financial resources that are required to safely manage in-person attendance. This includes effectively cleaning and disinfecting certain parts of the campus that will be open on a daily basis and making sure all the right procedures are in place.

 

We have been creating a reopening protocol for our Sunday service and will start bringing very small groups of staff and volunteers back in July to test all the procedures. As we move through this process, we will increase the numbers in these Sunday groups. When we are ready for the official reopening sometime in August, we will most likely institute a reservation system to ensure that we are able to manage the number of people attending any given service.

 

Rev. Josh will be teaching a very small in-person class in July as we begin to shift back into on-campus classes and workshops. Our Youth and Family Ministry will be welcoming a group of kids back to campus for Rainbow Day Camp at the end of July.

 

Our first and foremost priority is the safety and well-being of our community, and we have an incredible team of staff and ministers who have been working hard to reopen our doors.
