COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Update

Priority Groups 1A and 1B - Ages 18+
DCBDD is thrilled to share that nearly everyone ages 18 and above in priority groups 1A and 1B who wanted the vaccine have either received the vaccine or are registered to receive the vaccine in the coming weeks! We appreciate all of the families, employees, and local officials who helped make this possible.

Priority Group 1B - Ages 16-17
For those individuals who are between the ages of 16 and 17 in priority group 1B, we remain hopeful that the Pfizer vaccine will come soon. There have been significant advocacy efforts at the state and local levels focused on securing the Pfizer vaccine for county boards. You will be contacted by your SSA if we receive information that the Pfizer vaccine is available for Delaware County.

Individuals and Providers Not Included in Priority Groups 1A and 1B
At this time, we have not received information on who will be included in the next round of priority groups or when those determinations will be made. If you or your loved one is in this group, please know that your county board is continuing to advocate on your behalf. We want the vaccine to be available for anyone who is interested in receiving it as soon as possible.

Additional Questions
We thank you all for your patience as we work through this process together. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your DCBDD contact or review our COVID-19 FAQs.
