Forge Ahead: Updates & Noteworthy News
For a limited time, starting January 15 , the adult FICTION and non-fiction collections will be unavailable to the public . Items can be placed on hold for a staff member to retrieve when it is safe to do so and patrons will be notified via email or phone when their items are ready for pickup.
The Children's Department is getting NEW CARPET! Unfortunately, this means the Children's Department will be closed between January 6-12 .

Homeschool Crafternoon
Thursdays, January 9 & February 13

For children ages 6-11. Stop by and make a craft in the Children's Department on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Leave when you've finished the craft, or stay and hang out with other homeschoolers! This is a drop in program, no registration required.

Valentine's Day Drop-In

Drop in on Valentine's Day to create a craft full of love. No registration required and all ages are welcome.

Tail Waggin' Tutors
Thursdays, January 16 & February 6

For elementary school children. Practice reading with one of our dog tutors on the first Thursday of each month. Please note that January's date has shifted for carpet installation! Online registration is required for a 20-minute reading session with a literature lovin' pup!

Craft-A-Connection Book Club

Once a month we'll discuss a book, learn some stuff, and create a craft that goes along with the story. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk to read BEFORE the book club meets. Open to children in 1st-3rd grade. Registration is required.

1st - 6th Grade LEGO Club

Join Ms. Janae in the Children's Department on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to work on the challenge of the month. Or, just free build with other LEGO enthusiasts. This is a drop in program, no registration is required. 1st-6th grades.

Drop-in STEAM Lab
Thursdays, January 30 & February 20

Stop in for our STEAM LAB. Create, learn, and explore during this drop-in program with a focus on STEAM. January's STEAM Lab is "ICE STEAM," while February has us taking on "Bird Science." Takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Royal Bash

Tweens & teens! Test your gaming skills during our Open Game Nights. This is a drop in program that runs the 1st Thursday of the month. Try your hand at various Wii games in the Teen Zone. Grades 4-12.

Hogwarts Study Hall

When in doubt, go to the library! Listen to the sounds of the Hogwarts Library, eat free snacks and study! This is a drop-in program for teens in grades 6th-12th. No registration required.

Teen Writers Club

Do you like to write short stories, poetry, or prose? Come share your work and get feedback from other teen writers. There will be optional writing prompts and activities. Snacks provided. For teens in grades 6-12.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Be an important part of the community by helping to plan and run events for kids and teens! TAB members also provide suggestions for new teen book and AV purchases for the library. Group typically meets every other Monday. Teens receive volunteer hours for all TAB events. No registration. For grades 7-12.

Tween Marshmallow Wars

Tweens learn about catapults then construct your own using craft supplies that will be used in a marshmallow battle! Registration is required.

Teen Vine Night

Teens! Come test your vine knowledge and memory against other teens. Watch some clean vine compilations and snack with friends. Grades 6-12. No registration required.

Teen Book Club

National Puzzle Day

Beat the winter blues and exercise your brain with jigsaw puzzles and more. For grades 4-12, no registration required.

Tween Wish Bracelets
Thursday, February 27
6:00-7:00PM
A wish bracelet is a bracelet that you make a wish on and tie it onto your wrist. Eventually the hemp wears out and the bracelet falls off. When this happens, your wish is then released and is supposed to come true! Come and learn how to make these colorful bracelets. Registration required.

Please be sure to check all program descriptions for registration requirements. Due to space limits, many programs require registration, but some of them are "drop in."
