Our mission: to be a sign of Christ’s love for the world.
GATHER!
Here are the ways we worship together.

How wonderful to worship together in our sanctuary!
Let us be mindful to the needs of those around us.

Out of love & safety for our youngest & most vulnerable, and due to the rise in Covid-19 cases,
ALL worshipers are to wear masks while in the sanctuary.

As Matthew 7:12 says, "Treat others as you would want to be treated."
Thank you for living in Christian love with one another!

Worship Schedule
10am in the Sanctuary or on Facebook Live.

This week’s scripture lesson is :
Psalm 19:1-4; 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey. Your response will help our church leaders get a sense of our congregation's current involvement and plan strategically for the future. Dilworth's outreach committee will donate $5 to Roof Above for every completed survey response!

Thank you in advance for your participation.
Wedding Announcement!

Set Pieces for Musical
Calling all handy men and women. The Dilworth players need your help to build 6 set pieces for their upcoming musical. The lattice will already be cut so this should be a one day project for someone with carpentry skills and the right tools. Please reach out to Pastor Cade (cade.barefoot@dilworthchurch.org) for more info.
Mission Moment
Sign up to help Dilworth on Sunday 10/24 as we prepare 100 lbs of BBQ for the Dilworth Soup Kitchen. Join us anytime on Sunday afternoon as we hang out around the grill or come at 6:00 pm to help us pull pork. Please reach out to Pastor Cade (cade.barefoot@dilworthchurch.org) for more information about this outreach opportunity.
605 Boo Bash
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, 10/27 @ 5:30 pm for a fun family Halloween evening! Kids can wear their costumes, make a craft, and decorate cookies! A light dinner will also be served. Instead of a fee, we are asking families to donate to Loaves and Fishes.

Now to be located in the courtyard!

Anna has gotten great response to this event and she is looking for a few more volunteers to help set up, monitor crafts and cookie-decorating, or clean up. The event is Wednesday 10/27 from 5:30-7:00 in the courtyard. If you are able to help, please contact Anna (anna.sink@dilworthchurch.org).

GIVE!
Love your neighbor through gifts of time, talents, and financial gifts.
Room in the Inn
Sign up to help Dilworth this winter as we partner with Roof Above to host folks experiencing homelessness through Room in the Inn. Volunteers are needed to help our church show hospitality to those in our community who need it the most. To be a part of this ministry opportunity, search for a weekend (or two!) that you are available and sign up for the role listed that you would like to help in. Please reach out to Pastor Cade with any questions about this outreach opportunity.
Dilworth Church You Rock!
Because of your quick response we were able to help an Afghan Refugee family move into a newly furnished and stocked home. You provided all the furniture & supplies for two bedrooms (except the bunk beds), a high chair, bathroom cabinet, blinds and money for various items including a huge donation toward a new HVAC system. The parents and 4 children now have a safe and comfortable home in which to lay their heads and start life anew. Some remaining needs for the family include new or GENTLY used children clothing (suggested Target gift card for new clothing since it is an easy bus ride), smart TV, 2 car booster seats The children’s sizes are Sana -girl- shirt/pant/jacket 7\8 & shoes 13 LK; Sama - girl- shirt/pants 6/6x, jacket 7, shoes 13LK; Hikmatullah -boy - shirt/pants/jacket 4\5 and shoes 10/10.5 Toddler; Naimatullah-boy - 18mth-2T, shoes 5.5/6walker & size 3 diapers. Drop them off at the church and we will get them to the family. There may be days ahead for help with transportation and navigating their new life. If you are interested in this please reach out to Pastor Cade or Pastor Michelle. The oldest daughter will be 10 years old in just a few weeks -- 11/04 and what a new kind of birthday she will celebrate! This is Dilworth being a sign of Christ’s love in the world. Well done!

If you are at the church, you can come by Madison Rubottom's office and use the sign-up sheet posted on her door. If you would prefer to sign-up online, here is the link to our alter flower sign-up genius. As our new Office and Communications Manager, Madison will do her best to make sure the physical sign up and the digital sign up are correct and match one another. If you have any questions you can email madison.rubottom@dilworthchurch.org or drop by her office!
