How to Start Planning an Effective Social Media Strategy &
An Example of Our Work
When it comes to an effective social media strategy (like anything else!) it all begins with a plan. This does NOT mean sitting down at your computer each morning wondering what to post that afternoon. It means taking the time to strategize and plan out your social media efforts for the next several months to a year. Here are some things to consider as you get started:

  • What are your main objectives in terms of issues and engagement?
  • What will your monthly/weekly themes be? Take into account seasonal issues and events.
  • How often and at what time of day will you post? All times are not equal!
  • What existing resources and assets can you use to drive engagement?
  • And most importantly, how will you measure success?
