Senior Signs
RPHS Senior Bre Yates had a big surprise for her classmates at check-out this week. Breanne's Dad, Jeremy Yates of Sure-Flow Plumbing, along with KC Window Film, donated portrait signs of each senior. Pearce Photo provided the yearbook photo files to allow the two companies to have the signs made.  Thank you for your generosity to the class of 2020! The signs will be used at graduation and Jeremy Yates, Sure-Flow Plumbing, and KC Window Film will gift the portraits to seniors after the graduation ceremony in July.
June Summer School is a National Park Adventure
Students in grades 1-5 can explore National Parks in virtual lessons
Here's a great way to introduce elementary school-age students to the Everglades, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Hawaii!

The Summer School theme for June 3 to 30 is "Your National Park Adventure." The online materials, combined with the support of a real teacher, make this a fun way to continue learning over the summer. And with the actual National Parks in varying stages of re-opening, this is a way to experience some of these national treasures.

Summer School enrollment has been extended to Monday, May 18.  The June Summer School session is June 3 to June 30 and will be completely virtual. To register, please login to your Tyler SIS Parent Portal Account .

Scholarship offers to seniors top $1.2 million
Virtual awards ceremony honors Class of 2020
As a group, the Ray-Pec High School Class of 2020 has qualified for and/or earned the potential of   $1,248,144   in tuition and fee savings for the first year of college. Because many of the awards are renewable for multiple years, the Class of 2020 can potentially receive scholarship money totaling  $4.992,579  if accepted and renewed.

Due to Covid-19, there was no in-person Senior Awards Ceremony this year. The High School compiled a video to recognize seniors  for accomplishments such as completion of A+ and International Baccalaureate requirements, and earning scholarships, departmental awards, and other recognition. Due to technical difficulties, the video was not posted online today as planned. The video will be posted soon on the District website and Facebook page.

Graduation is tentatively planned for 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Panther Stadium for the more than   443  seniors in the Class of 2020 . In case of inclement weather, Saturday, July 18, is the back-up date.  Tickets are required for admission.
