What a week it has been Escondido. 2020 has proven itself to be a real challenge so far. And your Chamber has stepped up to meet the challenge. We’ve continued to provide resources to our business community and support not only our new Chamber based initiatives such as
Escondido Eats
and
Escondido Lookin’ Grand
, but long-time community events such as
The Rising Stars
program. Plus, we have lent our support to other worthy programs delivering help to our community during this challenge. All of these efforts are deliberately chosen and executed to deliver on the Chamber’s mission to serve, support, and build a business environment that provides the best chance for success in
Escondido. Rising tides lift all boats. That’s how it works in Escondido: we help each other.
Escondido should stand proud as together we have faced this pandemic with the resolve to do whatever we’re asked for the greater good of us all. That’s also how it works in Escondido. #EscondidoStrong.
And, I’d like to acknowledge the extraordinary work exhibited by our Police Chief Ed Varso and his department. They are doing the tough job on a daily basis of enforcing the laws of our City while preserving the inherent rights enjoyed by all Escondidans. It takes balance, courage, and leadership to navigate through these times.
Please get involved with the Chamber. We need your support. This Chamber has survived one pandemic, and we’ll continue to meet the challenges
of this one
…some expected and others not.
Together Escondido will continue to evolve, and together we can have a voice in that evolution.
Sincerely,
James Rowten (JR)
