Greetings from Bright’s Creek
With the nice weather this past week, we have made progress on the Amenity Barn site. The location of the building is starting to take shape. Most of the landscaping work is done at the tennis courts, with the irrigation connections the last of the work. The painting will start on the Greeter’s Cottage in the next week or so, followed by the Villas and Lodge.
Our final Member-Member, the Waterwheel, will be held on October 29th and 30th. We look forward to seeing our members participate in this great club tradition. On October 28th, we will host a complimentary wine and cheese reception at our Equestrian Barn. Heather Chambers and her team have done a great job getting the barn ready for boarding and event activities. The Waterwheel will include a three-course dinner on Friday evening and following the second round of golf on Saturday, an afternoon “cookout” and social will take place on the back deck.
In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11th, we will host a closest to the pin contest on the Hog Hole benefiting Guiding Reins. Guiding Reins uses the relationship between horses and humans to help veterans, military personnel, first responders, and their families cope with life’s challenges and build beneficial and effective relationships. Alicia Sama guides our Equestrian Team and has been a leader with Guiding Reins to assist our Veterans and rescue horses. We are proud to support this great cause and recognize our Veterans at the same time.
Construction traffic has picked up in and around the community. Some of this increase is related to club activities and some to homeowner development. If you are having work done on your home or lot, please remind the contractors to obey the 25-mph speed limit and pay close attention while entering and exiting Bright’s Creek. Many of our Members walk or ride their bikes on the roads. The Greeter’s Cottage team will also remind all vendors entering the community of these requirements as well.
We had a technical issue with our Member’s Grille phone and had to order a new one. During that time, calls were forwarded to our concierge desk. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Dining reservations can be made either with our concierge team or directly in the grille. Please note that on Mondays and Tuesdays, the grille is closed, and we recommend calling the concierge desk to make a reservation during that time.
Regards and thank you,
Steve Alden | General Manager
