Legislative Update from Senator Ned Claxton
Dear friend,

Just over a year ago, I was sworn in as the Maine State Senator for District 20. It's been quite the year filled with lots of successes, challenges, new relationships and great discussions. As we look toward our next session that begins on January 8, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy holiday season.

I hope that you, your family and friends are able to enjoy this festive time of year with each other.  I'd also like to take time to share with you some of my favorite moments from this past year. I look forward to getting back to work for the people of Maine come the new year!

From my family to yours, have a very happy holiday season.

As always, you can contact me by emailing me at [email protected] , or by calling my office at (207) 287-1515.

Sincerely,

Swearing in day, December 5, 2018.

The State Champ St. Dom's Hockey team visited the State House to celebrate their victory.

I visited Poland Community School and talked a little bit about what I do as a Senator and how state government works. They had some great questions and I don't think they were too bored with my presentation!

I presented 2019 Androscoggin County Teacher of the Year, Shawn Rice, with a Legislative Sentiment. He was joined joined by his mom, Martha.

A spur of the moment visit with an Auburn Elementary Class in the Senate Chamber. I got to sit on the floor with them for the photo!

Addressing the crowd at our "Fighting for Maine" town hall in the Auburn Council Chamber. I was pleased to have Senate President Troy Jackson alongside.
