Alien Crash Site 

A UFO has crash landed on the front lawn of the library! Join us on Wednesday, June 19 from 6:30-7:30 pm to reconstruct your own UFO from the pieces left behind. Face painting and crafts will also be part of the fun.

 
Blast Off! 
 
On Friday, June 21 from 2:00-3:00 pm kids in grades 1 and up are invited to  construct rockets from different materials and launch them outside.
 
 
 
Steve Corning 
 
 
On Tuesday, June 25 from 2:00-3:00 pm , Steve
presents a variety show featuring  
 juggling, escape artistry, balancing, comedy and audience interaction. Don't miss this amazing family event!

Audio Book Group
 
On Wednesday, June 26 from 6:30-7:30 pm, families are invited to listen to the first few chapters of What We Found in the Sofa and How it Changed the World. Follow up discussion will be on Tuesday, July 30 from 6:30-7:30 pm. Snacks will be served.
 
Family Yoga 
 
On Wednesday, June 26 and July 10 and 24 from 11:00- 11:30 am , adults with toddlers are invited to try out a fun introductory yoga class. Learn some basic poses to share with your child. Bring a mat if you can. No experience necessary

 
Galaxy Slime            
 
On Thursday, June 27 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm families are invited to make and take some amazing galaxy slime.
 

Drop-in Family Storytime   
                      
During the summer (Wednesday, June 5     Mondays July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29) we will offer a family storytime from 10:00-10:45 am Children with their caregivers will enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and games. No need to sign-up, just come and join the fun.
 
Mother Goose on the Loose    

Join us each Friday during the summer (June 7, 21, and 28 July 12, 19, and 26) from   10:00-10:30 am for Mother Goose on the Loose. This program is designed for babies to 2 year olds and their caregivers.
 
 Teen Book Group!  
 
The next meeting of Pizza & Pages will be held on Wednesday, June 19 @ 6pm.  The group will be discussing One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus.  Copies of the book are currently available for borrowing at the adult circulation desk.  We encourage kids in grades 7 and up to attend.  The group will be very informal with pizza and refreshments being served.   Join us to hang out with friends and maybe meet new ones.  Hope to see you there.  Questions email d.lafrance@dover.nh.gov or call 516-6050 and ask for Denise. 

LEGO Saturdays

Every Saturday is a Lego Saturday (June 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29) . Use our Legos and/or Duplos to build and create. Meet new friends, share your building tips, get new ideas, and have fun!

Creation Station
 
During the week of June 3 - 8 make a floating jellyfish . Each week of the summer reading program, beginning on June 18, there will be a different space-themed craft at the Creation Station to make and take.

Paws for Reading
 
Murphy, a certified therapy dog, and her handler, Karen, will be in the children's room on Saturday, June 15 from 10:00-11:00 am. Murphy is a great listener and very patient with new readers. Come read her a story!
