entered to win a t-shirt, prizes, and more! The goal of Fresh Check Day is to engage
members of the campus community in conversations around mental health through
interactive activities, peer-to-peer messaging, and campus resources.

Fall Community Fest - Dowdy Multicultural Center

Virtual program to introduce the Multicultural Organization Advisory Board (MOAB) to incoming students and build community. The Dowdy Multicultural Center’s Fall Community Fest welcomes first-year and returning students to the campus for the 2020-2021 academic year. The event will encourage students to develop relationships with peers across a variety of cultural backgrounds. The fun and welcoming atmosphere at the Fall Community Fest will serve as a space to nurture a sense of belonging and connectivity among WCU students. The Fall Community Festival will also be a means to introduce students to the Dowdy Multicultural Center, its programs,resources and new professional and graduate student staff. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Information Session

Assistance Program) benefits. Kathy Fisher from the Coalition Against
Hunger will present information about the program and how to apply. The
event will be recorded, but students are encouraged to attend to
participate in a Q & A during the presentation.

Queering the Conversation: Queer Media from the Margins
