SEPTEMBER 2020
NEWSLETTER
Adult Discipleship Newsletter is for you to stay updated with adult discipleship events and announcements, and stay connected with one another by sharing what God is doing in each of our groups!

You can expect to receive this email at least once a month and as frequently as once a week, depending on the activities of adult discipleship each week!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rev. Danielle Kim by her email, dkim@crumc.org.
WHAT'S NEW?
THE CHURCH RE-OPENS
ON 9/13, SUNDAY!
Starting September 13, we will resume in-person worship services. We will have a Modern Worship service at 9:45am and a Traditional Worship service at 11:00am. These services will also be live streamed for those who wish to continue worshiping at home.

Seating will be limited, so you'll need to RSVP. Social distancing and masks will be required.
WHEN CAN SUNDAY SCHOOLS
COME BACK TO THE BUILDING?
We are exploring ways to gather safely on Sunday mornings. We are working closely with a pilot Sunday School class that will help us learn to gather safely. More information will be coming to you soon!
Stay connected!
SUNDAY SCHOOLS
THANK YOU AND WELCOME!
Thank you so much, the officers of 2019-2020, for your serving this past year! We are grateful for your presence and witness among us!

Also, please receive our warm welcome, new officers of 2020-2021! We are thrilled to have you onboard, and we are looking forward to an amazing year together!
SUNDAY SCHOOL PROMO VIDEO
Thank you for graciously agreeing to be part of the Sunday School promotion video!

Because it is nearly impossible to represent all 28 Sunday Schools in one video, and we are committed to make sure that each Sunday School gets an opportunity in the future to be represented to the congregation one way or the other!

Meanwhile, stay connected with us and let us know how God is working in your Sunday Schools!

RECOMMENDATIONS
CURRICULUM RECOMMENDATIONS
God is speaking. Do you know how to listen? Throughout his life, John Wesley was a serious student of learning and discerning God's voice. This curriculum dives into what it means to listen to God, and how God empowers us to listen to God daily.

Check out Mark’s book, Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God. Available in RightNow Media.

I am thrilled to introduce this curriculum written by Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, a Jewish New Testament scholar at Vanderbilt Divinity School. Her curriculum is about the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5-7, which contains some of Jesus’ most profound and most memorable teachings.

What might these teachings have meant to his disciples and to the others who first heard them? How do they help us read the rest of the Gospel of Matthew?

Consider this series for your next curriculum. Available in Cokesbury, or contact Rev. Danielle Kim.
