Thank You Cutler Bay Businesses Helping to Promote the Census!
We have more local businesses helping us spread the word about the importance of the Census—so thank you to  Party Cake Bakery Rodbenders Rawbar, Rinconcito Superlatino III  and  Fortis College (Cutler Bay) ! If everyone gets counted, we ALL benefit!

Federal funding for public services like schools, roads and hospitals for our community—as well as representation in Congress—will be determined by the population count obtained in the 2020 Census for the next 10 years!

Each business received several facial coverings, shirts and flyers to promote the census.
If you own a business in Cutler Bay and are interested in receiving a few promotional materials to help us spread the word about the Census, send an email to Desiree Ducasa at dducasa@cutlerbay-fl.gov .
Miami-Dade County Public Schools Announce Reopening Plan

On Wednesday, July 1,  Miami-Dade County Public Schools  (M-DCPS) School Board unanimously passed their reopening plan during a virtual meeting.

The reopening plan includes four options for students which are: going back to school full-time; staying home for full-time distance learning, and two hybrid models. One has kids alternating school and home every day, the other hybrid plan has students going two days to school, two days at home to accommodate block schedules. This plan is dependent on whether or not Miami-Dade County
is in Phase 2 of reopening according to The Plan for Florida’s Recovery.

By July 10, parents must select the instructional model that they prefer for their children. This is critically important as schools finalize plans.

To support families, M-DCPS will create a guide to assist parents with staying engaged and informed for the remainder of summer and throughout the year. More information will be communicated in July. Visit their official Twitter page for additional information.
