Festival of Native Arts

Our theme is "Honor Our Elders" and the Festival of Native Arts will take place March 25th-27th, 2021. Having a virtual festival means that people from all over Alaska who might not have been able to travel to Fairbanks can participate this year! We need your help to make this year's celebration great!

We will be sharing dance videos, hosting virtual workshops, and having a live virtual artist marketplace. We are seeking dance videos to share, artists willing to host virtual workshops, and artists who want to sell their work in our marketplace. We will be awarding $250 for dance videos and artist presentations. Artists sellers will be featured and shared with a large audience.

We want to translate this year's theme, "Honor Our Elders" into as many Alaska Native Languages as possible. We would also like to share Elder wisdom with our communities via video messages.

Please see the links below to all of our applications for dancers, artists, and culture bearers. There are links to provide translations and instructions for elder video messages. We are here to answer any questions that you may have and look forward to working with you. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to get in touch!

Join a Club!

A big part of college life is getting involved in things that you're interested in. Not only do you get a chance to make a difference or submerge yourself into your hobbies, but you get to do it with other, like-minded people who have similar goals in mind. Those friendships that you create may be just the thing you need to forge ahead.

Due to our current situation with the virus, some clubs may be held virtually and others in-person with a limited amount of members. Although it may be not be the same experience face-to-face, it is still a great way to connect with others and get involved in clubs you are interested in.
