Breton WWII Veteran Honored

On the heels of Memorial Day, friends and family gathered remotely and in person at a safe social distance to celebrate the life and service of 98-year-old Aldean Mason, a U.S. Army nurse who treated wounded soldiers and Holocaust survivors in Europe. Aldean lives and Azpira Place of Breton , and we are proud to share her story of service.

Flipping Over  Adorable Wreaths

Leaving your shoes at the door is a thing, but how about leaving your shoes  on  the door? Well, that's just what some Azpira Place of Lake Zurich residents are doing with adorable, summer-inspired flip-flop wreaths!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Azpira Place at Breton residents take their gardening seriously, measuring and charting each plant’s progress. Soon, if they keep up the good work, they will look forward to harvesting Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower and yellow squash!

The culinary team is excited to incorporate these homegrown ingredients into fresh, summer meals, so residents can enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Goodies for our Veterans

As we remembered our fallen service men and women on Memorial Day, we were proud to celebrate the heroes and veterans who call Azpira Place of Lake Zurich "home" and honor them with a goodie basket of Americana treats. Thank you for your service!

Traveling Carnival
When the traveling carnival came to town at Azpira Place of Breton residents got to keep balloon hats and animals as fun souvenirs.

Thank You, Frontline Heroes

Pathway to Living's Support Center team members came together (figuratively!) to recognize and thank frontline workers for their courage, sacrifice and hard work during these challenging times.

Celebrating LEAs!

Pathway to Living honored our Life Enrichment Aides (LEAs) during National Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA Week) for caring for residents’ health and safety while bringing joy to their lives. LEAs play an integral role in Pathway’s mission to change the way society thinks about aging and senior living.
Artwork Says it All!
Over 650 residents shared one word to describe the LEAs in their lives. Their kind expressions were used to create this artistic interpretation of Pathway to Living’s logo in their honor.
