A Prayer for Justice
Father, we desire today in our time with you that we are Godly-active in our walk with you, Godly-active in our thoughts, our words, our deeds, our families, our marriages, our relationships, our communities.

Matthew 13:58 states, "And He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith." God calls us to be active faith-believers. We must not seek His hand and wait for a hand-out but rather seek His face. Therefore, we must pray. Pray actively and without ceasing for:Spiritual Leadership, United efforts of prayer, Social justice and reconciliation, compassion and evangelism, Public Power Encounters and so much more!

So Let's Do It Today:
  • We Pray for the spiritual leaders of our community.
  • We Pray for social justice and compassion efforts to rise up and be successful.
  • We Pray for wisdom about transforming the underlying issues in our community where powers and principalities derive their power.
  • We pray for those innocently incacerated in our prison systems. Father, we pray for justice and peace.
  • We Pray for those on the front lines of poverty this day; people around the world who are trapped in difficult situations against their will. Use this time to open my mind and understand their plight. Remind me to pray for the heroes on the front lines who are fighting the battle for justice. Give me a passion to be their advocate—a force on my knees—for each adult and child fighting large battles. I pray our scripture verse for today for those Christian workers laboring on the front lines around the world.
  • We pray for those in harmful conditions such as sex-trafficking and abusive situations. We ask for Your protection for them, for You to thwart the plans of evil people, and help others to see the dangers.
  • We pray for those who can't speak up for themselves. We are called to stand up for those who can’t speak for themselves. Children in child labor, those with mental and physical disabilities, those ravished by war, those who stand for equality even when they live in areas where that is completely out of the question. God we call on You. Protect them, free them, and defend them. Your Word says that y are very important to You so we ask You to be their defender. We ask for more people of faith— to come forward; people who will actively stand up against injustice and fight for the vulnerable.
Our God is a God of justice! From the beginning to the end of the biblical story, God desires that all people will know him, and that humans would serve, not oppress; share, rather than hoard; and empower, rather than demean. We are ALL made in God’s image – men, women, children, elderly, black, brown, or white. There are no ordinary people. And this is the foundation for justice. Because each and every person bears God’s image, God’s people have always been obligated to love friend and stranger, rich and poor, enabling all people to flourish in body and soul. And that basic insight has had a transformative impact on world history. God, help to have active-faith, active-prayers, and active-actions with the help of your Holy Spirit to Micah 6:8. This verse connects our faith with our actions, our care for those in need with our walk with God: “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

REFLECT
  • How will you play a role in bringing God’s presence to our community?
  • As you pray today, ask God to give you eyes to see those “ordinary” people as his royal image-bearers. Ask God to give you a heart that honours the dignity God has bestowed on all human beings.
  • In what areas can you play a leadership role in providing united efforts of prayer with Christ followers, fighting for social justice, or showing Christ’s compassion to our community?
WORD
Psalm 103:6:The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
Psalm 100:3: Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Psalm 95:7-8: For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Today, if only you would hear His voice, “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness.”
1 Timothy 2:8: Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

WORSHIP

PRAYER
Daniel wasn’t just a person of prayer, he was a man of True Humility before God. Think of the integrity and the hunger you see in Daniel as he prays three times a day on his knees before God. He wasn’t demanding anything of the Lord; three times a day he humbly sought God out of his own need.

When’s the last time you got on your knees to pray? When’s the last time you felt truly humble in prayer, rather than just asking God for things? If it’s been a while, you might want to try it.

The Bible says it this way: “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time(1 Peter 5:6). Daniel did it three times a day on his knees. How will you do it today and over the next month?

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I lift up justice for all before You Lord, asking for Your presence to fill the atmosphere so that they will hear You speak and see You work in their lives. Right now, I pray for all of my neighbors by name. and I ask, God, that You will reveal Yourself to each one of them. Stand in the gap for a people, a nation, the land. We pray for blessing, healing, and salvation and raise up a generation who will heed your word by paving the way for you to work and for you to be active in them through prayer.
